Whitley was born on July 21st, 1961 was a famous American comedian from the
United States. Her appearances on television sitcoms like Animal Practice and
Young & Hungry and The Parkers and Black Dynamite are her most popular.
Whitley was awarded the BET Comedy Award as Outstanding Supporting actress in
Box Office Films for her performance in Deliver Us From Eva. Whitley was the
daughter of Kaysonia Whitley and William Whitley. Whitley as well as Whitley
was established by her father. Whitley and Whitley were part of the development
of Tower City Center and the Cleveland State University Convocation Center.
They also collaborated on Lincoln Junior High School, Lee-Harvard Branch and
Cleveland Public Library's Central Area Multi-Service Center. The joint venture
that developed and constructed Jacobs Field (now Progressive Field) was also
part of their projects. Whitley was a graduate of Shaker Heights High School in
1979, and from Fisk University, Nashville, Tennessee in 1979. She was also
incorporated into the Alpha Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta. Whitley was the
main character in Shelly Garrett's show Beauty Shop in 1989. The show premiered
in Los Angeles and later traveled across the US. Whitley's other role was in the
sitcoms My Brother and Me and Sparks.
