Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, provides simple techniques that anybody can learn. Chef Burrell also worked at some of New York's top establishments, been studying the Italian food and culture as well as competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and eating from an early age. Following her graduation with an English and Communication degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the industry of restaurants by registering at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great learning experience. I could not learn or do enough. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy Burrell developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions. This will have a significant impact on the way she prepares her food. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of struggling children. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate where she promotes awareness of the condition of children with diabetes. She frequently travels around the nation in her capacity as a mentor as well as a public speaker in which she speaks about her career and love of cooking. Anne has, through her whole experience in the kitchen, has declared that it is a privilege to be able to be able to share this love of life with others.
